How Do I Know If and When To File A Hail Claim?

RESTORE YOUR PROPERTY WITH BALANCED CONTRACTING ON YOUR SIDE

Before filing a hail claim it is important to contact your contractor to inspect your property at no cost, if your contractor determined that there is enough substantial damage, that’s when you’ll know to call your insurance.

Having your contractor inspecting your property first can help you in a couple of ways:

  1. You won’t need to open or start a claim if it’s not needed.
  2. Your contractor can inspect your whole property beforehand and identify all the hail damages in your property. This will help ensure all the damages get included into the insurance claim estimate, not just a portion.
  • Inspection & assessment of the damage

  • Documenting and Informing you about the next steps and expectations

  • Coordinating the next visit with the insurance adjuster present

  • Working with adjusters to confirm coverage

These steps are crucial in helping to have all of your damages included in your claim, if not done properly, there could be damages or steps for the restoration processes not included in the first estimate, it’s always more difficult to add things later.
